Founded in 1926, Traina Foods (formerly Traina Dried Fruit) was formed by an Italian immigrant farming family that brought their tradition of sun drying fruits and tomatoes from Italy to the San Joaquin Valley of California. By 1976, the company was incorporated as Traina Dried Fruit, and had expanded from a local farming and sun drying operation to serve North America.
Over the last two decades, Traina Foods has grown into a full-scale provider of sun dried fruits and vegetables serving a global market. Traina has expanded its product line to include a wide variety of sun dried products. Still located at the original farm in Patterson, CA, in the "Apricot Capital of the World," Traina Foods is committed to its roots still creating products the old-fashioned way, taking advantage of rich soils, mountain water and the California sun.
